I wrote this while reading The Chronicles of Narnia.
I am lying on the cold wet grass
The very marrow of my bones are frozen
I awake in amazement
It is dark,
Yet  the sun is slowly rising
From behind the hills
The rays of sun shines upon my face
Warming me up
Every solemn thought disappears
While the tree’s shadow
Slides across my face
Just as the last star
Winks out of sight
From the night sky
I look around in quiet wonderment
And mounting happiness
I watch the grass ripple
And the flowers sway
In the light breeze
I listen to the morning dove
sing its grateful song
I sit back and relax
While the noisy silence surrounding me
Becomes my solitude
