Message from one who was lost. I miss you
Remember me from long ago?
We played beneath the falling snow.
We danced beneath the twinkling stars.
A rustling wind around would blow.

At times when I was feeling down,
you'd hold me and you'd sit me down.
I only felt like being free,
but never the less, you sang to me.

And I'd feel better, after a while,
for I had a friend who could make me smile.
We'd wish away the pouring rain,
but then you left, left me in pain.

I cried for you, so long ago.
You'd helped me when the ground was steep.
I learned a lesson from you, though,
and now I'll sing to those who weep.
