Destiny of a raging river and an Indian maiden.
                   "Whitewater"

Restless river sings crazy current songs downstream.
Bold stones attempt to interrupt madness in a dream;
Fully dressed trees stand in river's way to make an end,
As whitewater rages past and around the bend.

An undetected undertow, unaware to the Indian maiden,
Suddenly distracts her daring mission to cross, heavily laden.
Her modest identity disappears like discarded river debris;
An exhausted spirit then becomes a legend's mystery.

Steamy vapors disguise what's real and what's ghostly.
River's rumbling; a reproaching tone forever mocks the lady.
Shameless whitewater lashes and laughs at the tremors.
With appalling evidence, a malicious river remembers.

Whitewater's rushing sounds include lamenting to the years.
For the maiden, there will be eternal trilling and tribal tears.
