Charlotte: The Dark Poetry Contest Entry 1
Charlotte

The beauty estranged from her blistering face,
The moon lit the way on the walk to the smoldering grave
From each side she was herded, a lamb for the slaughter
Their claws in her sockets, their teeth in her sores,

She bloodied the ground and screamed like the whore under the Ripper’s blade

The spider webs glistened, adorning her hair,
While the stalker was cutting and she was decaying
The blood from incisions, the puss from the wounding
Her blackened eyes dripping, her milky skin peeling

She drowned in despair while her murderer moaned with a luscious delight

But out from the ashes she still takes to walking
Her lovely voice trilling, her eyes so alluring
She readies to take you with her to the tomb
Her teeth to your throat and your soul to her breast

She lures and seduces, she kills and she drains, the victim hangs dripping in crimson display
