A battle with addiction that seemingly cannot be won.
Please Leave

You’re still around, I’m still pissed,
My scarred body, all for this.
I could say yes, for one last time,
But then my body wont be mine.

It’s so familiar, I shouldn’t care,
I close my eyes, your still there.
In my veins you taunt me,
In my dreams you haunt me.

One last drag, to say goodnight,
One last spread, to end the plight.
I can’t think, I can’t smell,
Are we real? I can’t tell.

My vision’s poor, and blood is thin,
Eyes are red, the rooms a-spin.
I’m too wasted to even care,
Greying hair, a solemn stare.

Get out of my head,
Stay out of my veins,
The pain you caused,
It had no gains.

It’s not time, to admit defeat,
I’ll hide my tongue behind my teeth.
The past is set, down in stone,
So is the future, I’ll die alone.

Once a man, now a shell,
I have no voice, or tales to tell.
This has to end, my life is through,
One last drag, one more, then two.
