A poem written for an A1 writing academy class
Silence

Silence lurks down the corridor
Where all is dark – no light escapes
Its on every exposed surface
Like a winter frost on the window
Or the morning dew upon grass

The sheerness of an empty space
Fills my mind, without sight or sound
Just an audible silence dominating
Every square inch
And nothing can be rid of it.
