She bought a pretty rug, but got too much more.
Written for "Invalid Item

It was midnight. Angel sat cross-legged on her new red and green patterned rug. The rug merchant at the mystic shop told her it was magical, and if she meditated at midnight while seated on it, wishes would be granted.

She laughed, but bought it anyway and had the man deliver it. It was a beautiful rug. She smiled as she closed her eyes and relaxed from the day’s stress. She heard the sound of footsteps and opened her eyes, confused.

She screamed. The rug merchant laughed as he pounced and trapped her under him.

“I didn’t say whose wish would be granted. I saw the key by the door, earlier.” He said, as he had his way with her.
