past, present, future...
"Daddy, I'm tired of walking,
Can we go for a carriage ride?"

She rides, I push, sounds fun.
"Hop in we will go to the monument."

"Can we go for a carriage ride?"

Monica and I were on Bourbon,
and I shelled out too much cash
for a romantic guided carriage tour.

She rides, I push, sounds fun,
and it is, when your daughter
laughs when you wheel her around,
unmindful of anything but glee.

"Hop in, we will go to the monument."
The driver told us tales of Old New Orleans
while Monica and I cuddled in the back,
with thought of the past and our future.
