Poem about those fallen in war who haven't moved on. Appeared in my school's magazine.
Come along through the field
Where sides where taken,
With angry words spieled
And fragile lives forsaken.

Now all that is left behind
Is a memorial token,
With words from the kind
About the lives than were broken.

Once a field covered in blood
On the trampled patches of grass
That had turned to dirty mud
As the soldiers kept marching pass.

This was done to make
A better world for them,
The hill they must take
Fighting with every limb.

Now all that is left behind
Is a memorial token,
With words from the kind
About those who had broken.

Now the ghost’s linger pass
Heads held high full of pride
With a dream that will last
Even though history may have lied.

They carry on through the night
With the duties they were given,
Knowing they must fight
As though the dream is still liven’.

Now all that is left behind
Is a memorial token,
With words from the kind
About those who had broken.
