I chose a syllable's sound and made every line end with it.
Teardrops fall in pirouettes
Trickling down in rivulets
Hurting my chest like cigarettes
Blurring my shadow's silhouette
Mind looping memories I can't forget
Give your all and pain's what you'll get
In the muck of sickness my feet got wet
I numbed my heart and still I'd fret
No plan had worked...not yet, not yet
My mask was on, my lies were set
With recovery I was coquette
I preferred my skeletons in my closet
Fear of failure was my one tourniquet
To forget my pain I could not let
I lost control, I went in debt
A poorer Soul I've never met
That I got caught's a strong regret.
