A lonely poet thinks of his deceased lover
The Full Moon

The tunes of nature in the night
Pierce the depth of my inner core
This joy is a pain to fight
It washes me until I’m sore.

Alone in the dark listening
As the furious waves crash
Against sad rocks glistening…
Now and then boat lamps flash.

Across Lake Kariba the lights
Are dotted and dancing slow.
I sit on a rock most nights
And listen to them as they glow.

In my heart the burden is sad
For you left me too soon.
You...the only love I had
Before you saw the full moon.

Now with you gone..
I watch it...Sadly alone.
