Breaking up
Our eyes used to overlap and cause a constellation of light to form in the spaces between us. Time was just a number and dates were just all one day thrown into darkness and light. The thick, hot air is setteling into my lungs as I try to gasp for your words. Nothing came out, if anything was to ever. Confusion causes me to lose all sense of direction for what you have planned. I cant seem to gain any control over the situation because it happened too quickly for me to grab a hold of it. It slipped right through me. Like the rush of a wave throwing me to shore. You gave me no time to digest or comprehend the signals you were sending through the phone line. The static in your voice is impossible to forget as it left my ears ringing in pain and shallowness every day.
