How inanimate objects portray intimate scenarios in our everyday lives.
Tubes so long and fragile
Not flexible or agile
Sitting amongst the ceiling tiles
Sometimes fleeting, but for a while
Managing just a glimmer of a glow
Of this world that I know
Sometimes a flicker of light
To steal only a fraction of the night
Causing something beautiful to appear
When two bodies are holding near
Shadows dance upon the wall
Encouraging the fates to call
Giving only but two sillouettes
Of strangers with no regrets
Slowly as the filament burns
Is when he wakes and gesturally turns
To find her missing on his right
Like the flicker, has faded into the night
