My Car


                    The car handles good under my hands.  My feet press the pedals
 
                    and the tires hug the road.  I don’t know how it happened.  I never
 
                    saw the end of road sign.  One minute I’m screaming at break-neck
 
                    speed around hair-pin corners and the next I’m upside down in black
 
                    water fighting for my life.
