Missing a bit of your spirit. Then you might relate to this piece.
And they say you have lost yourself
Somewhere between the unpopulated mountains and the bustling streets of the city
Managing to leave the spirit
Abandoned with the hand me down kitchen ware in a cockroach motel

Did it no longer want to remain inside the body that hid the pain
The false security and the failed happiness
Perhaps it took off when you kissed your last goodbye
Whatever the reason it hasn’t returned

Now you just sit
Breathe in and out
And look for it in the mirror
Hoping for a glimpse of it behind the eyes

So make up the bed
Go out the door
And drive down the street
Knowing that you are alone once more
