A poem about love that is just enough and not too much.
Lonely nights spent happily,
Silent dreams of memory.
Calmness settles like a plague.
Past is distant and oddly vague.
Longing for a touch,
Without despair.
A kiss......
Not really there.
Sweet music,
Subtle and low.
And in the dark.....
A faint glow.
A little warmth inside the heart,
Not enough for tears to start.
A bit of love without the pain,
Like sunshine without the rain.
A bit of joy like a child,
Not enough to make you wild.
Just a spark,
Not a fire.
Only to care,
Without desire.
