The love for a child, when you expected two.
For a penny
Arms held high
The wool untwines;

Gran its time
Lay the wool aside
It's half past nine

Little Johnny- No
The arthritis
May show

But Gran
The kettle's calling
From the room below

Oh my Grandson
What good manners
That you should care for me so

Come, sit on my knee
I'll tell you a story
Of when I was small like you:

My Mother,
Your Great Grandmother
Had a smile just like you

Aunt Mavis, my sister
Tells me
You are her favorite nephew

Your Mother- my daughter
Expected twins, but bears the scars
You make up for two;

Johnny now you know
Why I can’t go on without you
I love you true

Come let us have that cup of tea
Then to bed
Tomorrow the school waits for you;

I'll be waiting at the gate
At half past two
We can go fishing in the lake

But not too late
Moms waiting,
She loves you too.
