Bourbon in the Morning

Balcony sitting and coffee sipping
on a quiet foggy morning
my new bride sleeping inside,
Bourbon Street, I love you.

On a quiet foggy morning,
I was accompanied by morning sounds.
The clip-clopping of carriage horses,
sweeping of sidewalks, silence.

My new bride sleeping inside,
I take a steaming mug,
slip through french doors,
look upon still life indescribable.

Bourbon Street I love you,
though now you slumber by dawn's rays,
in an hour you will be the party
I remember from yesterday's revalrie.
