This is my first story. It's about me and where I'm at in this life. Hope you like it.
This place I have come to know. “My Place”
I have found a place that I don’t fully understand. Could it very well be an illusion of some sort. Sometimes I fear that I may be losing my mind. This place I’ve come to know is half, real, half, crazy but in all, is totally and wholly (or is it spelled holy) wonderful. I would not trade it for all the money in the world.
“My Place” is a beautiful, dream log home in the country. With, breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and magnificent rolling hills. There are evergreens, trees of all sort, flowers, weeds, wind, sun, snow, sunsets, sunrises, and anything else that you could ever dream of or imagine.
It is truly nature beyond its’ belief. There is always wildlife at my doorstep to admire and be in awe of, and a fresh bouquet of wild flowers waiting to be picked everyday. The clean fresh air alone in itself, is enough to send you into a frenzy of complete contentment and relaxation. The tiny brook that passes through my property at the south end, is where I cool myself, when the sun beats too warm against my skin. And when I feel like a nature hike, I take a slow walk through the cleared paths on the west side of the property, to a place that I call my secret colored forest. I have turned the ugly, deadness of some of the trees  (that have truly done their time), into multi-colored totem poles. Each, with their very own unique personality, story and beauty. It is somewhat like walking into a fairytale land, only it’s real. Totally magnificent and engulfing. It makes you feel like you are the Cinderella or Prince charming when you enter the colored forest. As you continue on your journey, through the enchanted forest of colors, you may hear a train that is bellowing its horn in the distance. At first it startles you but very quickly calms you. It happens twice daily. The train rushes along behind “My Place”, filled with curious but tired sightseers. They are returning from an all day sightseeing excursion in Agawa Canyon. Just before it gets here, I quickly maneuver my way down another path to an opening that was solely developed for the purpose of waving to these good people. The seekers of natures’ unbelievable beauty. I do this so that they will know that there is life out here in God’s Country. I do believe that I have found God’s Country, even though I am not a religious person. In fact, if the truth were to be known, I believe only in myself. What I mean by that is simply that, I believe that I am the one whom is responsible for the outcome of my life.  Good or bad.  I live by the Golden Rule (always have and always will) and live life to its utmost potential. I literally, have preached those words to everyone that I have met or come in contact with since I could speak. Continuing down the beaten path,  I must make a comment on what it feels like when I have a small but worthy fire in the fire pit. There is nothing like the peace and serenity that comes over you when you  stare deep into the flames of a fire. I feel blessed that I can do this whenever I feel the desire to. And when night falls upon “My Place”, the view in the sky is astronomical.  I ease my way into my hot-tub (best investment I ever made) and gaze up into the never, ending darkness of the night. Fortunately, being able to see everything because the sky is so lit up. There are literally billions upon trillions of stars. Each one signifying something specific. The moon, is so bright no matter what shape it takes, you can actually see “the man in the moon”. Everyone whom has ever glared up into the sky at “My Place” with me, has commented on being able to see “the man in the moon”. Let me just tell you this. Not a single day goes by, without my absolute acknowledgment, that I have settled myself into a place that should and usually does, appear only in dreams. Not in our wildest hopes or imagination, can a place like this exist. Except when we are dreaming. But it does exist. To me that is, and not a single day goes by without me expressing my appreciation for what I have, what I can see, what I can hear, what I can feel, what I can touch or what I can do. I have been reborn and so have my senses.
However, and this is the tricky part, having said all that. The part of this whole thing that doesn’t feel real, and for some reason, is hard to believe. Is the fact that, I have acquired the belief that I am some kind of a savior. I know that this statement sounds crazy, but I have noticed that my mind has changed as a direct result of my existence here at “My Place”. I can’t help but wonder, why it is that I have come to be at this particular place, at this particular time. I didn’t need a place and I certainly was not looking for a new place. It just happened. All of a sudden, here I am and here I will remain until I go onto the next place. Anyway, after searching the inner depths of my being, not knowing why I was doing that either, I have come to the conclusion that I am here for the purpose of saving others. I don’t know where this notion comes from, but I know that it is real and that this place has something to do with it. It is almost like a magical place. It is definitely a realization place. Maybe it’s a burial place from trillions of years ago. Whatever the case, this is where I need and have to be. It doesn’t matter how long, as long as it is forever. I get quite a bit of company here and I have noticed, that every visitor that does come to visit me at “My Place” ends up leaving with a whole different perspective of themselves, others and their lives. Without any religious theologies, it’s almost as if they were born again. The calming, almost sacred feeling that “My Place” seems to exonerate, affects all whom come here. It is almost as if this place gives you the ability to see inside yourself. Evaluate, accept and then correct. Some people who have been to “My Place” have compared it to a living Heaven. Could that be true. Could I have stumbled across a holy sanctuary. A place of peace, growth, and insight into all that is. Have I truly found “My Place” in the world?  *Bigsmile*
