Let's start a literary fiction genre.
Hi Everyone,

Writing.com gives us 90 genres to tag our work --- that's a lot. However, the genre closest to my heart is missing: the literary genre.

Have you ever read the work of Alice Munroe, Mary Gaitskill, Richard Bausch or Richard Ford? How about Madison Smartt Bell, Lee Smith, or E. Annie Proulx (you might know something about her -- she wrote "Brokeback Mountain"!)

If not, you are really missing out on America's best writers.

I have always been a literary writer, and I would like to meet up with like-mindeds on writing.com. What's the problem? There's no spot for us.

That's why I propose a ninety-first genre -- literary fiction.

What do you think?
