Please, I'd like an HONEST review
I have a hunger, hunger for the sound of a human voice
I thirst, a deep unquenchable thirst, for a human touch
Yet no one speaks directly to me
Everyone avoids the smallest touch from me

I am always seen but never heard
I am acknowledged, not welcomed
I am here, among the crowd, patronized
But I am not wanted

In this world of diversity of peoples
In this time of acceptance of differences
In this, my world, in this, my time
There is no diversification or acceptance

In this time of learning sensitivity
In this day of political correctness
In this world of billions of faces
In this, my realm, there is still no home for me

Eyes that have cold stares
Mouths that speak but in resounding silence
In a world of over population, around me there is but abject space
In a time of global communication, for me there is but isolation

It is mine because it was born from my life
It is mine because it doesn’t fit anyone else
It is mine to accept, embrace or deny
It is mine, not yours or will it ever be

If dangerous, it is only to me; it is under control
If life threatening, then only to me; it has been corrected
It is not contagious; you cannot catch it
It will not rub off or attack you or anyone

It is not the leprosy of old
It is the leprosy of the present
It is my Untouchable Evil
It is my Mental Illness
