Written for Sherri Gibson's Coloring The World Contest, using her Title Prompt

IN HIS HANDS

In the hustle and bustle of every life
I had no time to give thanks to God.
There are meetings, work to be done
and away from religion I had trod.

My time spent in prayer was hurried,
if I remembered to say a prayer at all.
I began to notice the path was dark,
I trembled with fear as I started to fall.

It took darkness to lead me to light,
to stop and look at my life honestly.
I fell to my knees, asking forgiveness
and He said "My child, follow me!"

So I followed Him, and I stumbled.
He waited patiently for me to rise.
Onward we traveled on a new path.
I see the world through clear eyes.

Every day is full of new blessings,
every day is filled with better plans.
I've taken the time to value His love
and I will stay content in His hands.
