Comparing love to the beauty and recklessness of a sea shore

Nature is a contrast,
savage waves crash,
delight in tangerine sunrises.
Seagulls dive for silver flesh fast.

Paper thin shells wash ashore.
an emotional mix; crushed feudally,
a spectrum of vivid colors
Tread lightly on nature's beauty.

Attempt to make plans,
reach for strength, reject strife.
Delicate lace always wins.
This sporadic, evolving love life.

Construct a lovely sandcastle.
Oh no! I did it wrong yet again.
Inviting outside, hollow inside.
Salt stings delicate skin.

Do I lack heart?
Blue skies tremble, fade away.
Thunderstorms take their place.
Wishes for silver linings come to stay.

I remember lovers mornings,
sun kissed skin, joined as one.
Our mouths taste salty sweet.
We drink, make love, call it fun!

Love is white caps on the ocean.
gentle teasing of tide on sand
Lust for satisfied blue happiness.
Gone, the golden band on my hand.

Experiences can be simple,
an ice cream cone, a summertime romance.
I expect; judge too much;
always wanting permanence.

Sandcastles reflect life,
as mortal beauty ebbs and flows.
Memories of lovers and joy.
In the end, we must let it all go.
