A fire in a night club that claimed over one hundred and fifty lives.

Night Club Fire

There once stood a huge night club near the out skirts of the city. Many famous entertainers had performed there. The place was famous for popular entertainment and such.

People would come from all around to see their favorite entertainers perform. They would gamble and drink and go all night without a care.

The city was famous for its' vice and gambling. It had crooked leaders From the police chief to the mayor.

I guess with all the corruption in the city the Lord took action and spared no pity. So it happen one night. Many people were there at the show a very famous singer was performing that night. The huge club was packed.

All the exit doors opened inward and not outward like they should have done. With all the noise the people did not hear. The warning that smoke was coming from the kitchen. It seemed in the kitchen a fire had started. The fire spread quickly through the club. Out of control The people were pushing and shoving at the exit doors. The doors were jammed by their weight. If the exit doors had opened outward. So many people would not have been killed.

I heard their bodies were stacked over five feet high. This fire claimed over a hundred and fifty lives. The night club was never rebuilt. Since then the city has cleaned up its corruption. Now it is a respectful city anyone would be proud to live in.
