I wrote this to show that we all feel failure from time to time.



Where Did It Come  From


Where did it come from
This looming air of failure
Never quite reaching
The goal

Never quite crossing the finish line
Never reaching first place
An air of life’s
Crudity and toil

Thinking that life has gotten kind
And your way is so much more clear
Where did it come from
The cloud disguises many blessings

Wearing one man’s ring
It’s forever after
Then this relationship’s up
Then here comes another

Where did it come from
This looming air of gloom
Never reaching my goal
Never remarried
Yet working to be whole
