This is a poem I wrote about the many different aspects in all of us.
The Canvas

Once colored the shades of hope,
Vividly predicting the truth of dreams,
The canvas of a trusting soul was complete,
Possessing strength to ignore the means.

Displayed upon the wall for all to view,
Its strength and beauty begin to fade,
Whispers dull the once bright hues,
Tattered edges replace the frame once made.

Torn by the hands that cared before,
The vivid colors try to pretend,
Pretend its hues could hurt no more,
The canvas looks for the damage to end.

Lifted off the wall with hands of grace,
Placed upon a solid foundation,
Water cleansing the soil of this sad place,
Colors are brightened- A new creation...
