This poem is about the lifestyles of 3rd or 4th born children involved in population laws.
                                            In a World of Hiding

In a world of hiding
All things are dark
I really feel like spying
I want to go to the park

I cannot do the stuff
That I would like to do
I can only cry and puff up
I'm a third born, it's true

I have no friends
I can only watch my siblings have fun and play
While I stay hidden
Each night and day

The cruel population law
It's so unfair
It merely states that
Two children is the maximum a family can share

So no family can have
Up to three children or more
So I shouldn't be existing
I should've never been born

This cruel law has been set
Because of lack of food
I would explain more
But I'm not in the mood

I have never taken a ride
In the family car
And that's just one reason why
I have no pride in this horrid life so far

So now you know my story
Even though I'll never be done
You be thankful you're not a third born
Trust me, it is not very fun
