There are many aspects of womanhood. Which is the most distinctive?
THE IMAGE OF WOMAN: a sonnet

What makes a woman distinct from a man?
Is it her beauty, tender, yet divine,
By which she entraps only as she can,
Making him for her love forever pine?

Is it her touch that is so sweet and soft
Which makes the hearts of the hardest men melt?
It’s said of women very truly oft
That cruelty in them cannot be felt.

Though all this is true of women yet I
Say that the real difference is this:
In her bosom a mother’s heart does lie;
In this she does fulfil a Godly wish.

If women downplay motherly image,
Who else can then their own image salvage?
