music, guitar
You lean against the corner wall of my room.
You wait for me to see you.
I've been frustrated with you for a month.
I wanted to forget you were here.
My fingers missed plucking your strings.
My ears missed your voice--
a graceful angel
wrapping me in soft melodies.
You're the one
Who has always taken away
Thousands of raging tears I hide.
Forgive me,
I've left you
To play a lover
But today, I've been told
He cares for another woman
He used to know.
My darling,
I shall pick you up
And cradle you next to my heart
Like the sweet lover I held in my arms
Yesterday.
The broken passion will vanish
From my memory only for awhile
Until night creeps inside
My naked skin
And I remember, I'm alone again.
My darling,
I shall pick you up
And pluck your strings until dawn.
