Finding myself.
Am I a black woman?
Am I a woman?
Am I the queen that I was meant to be?
Am I oppressed and depressed?
Living in a mind that is constantly trying to reposses what is rightly mine to posses.
Existing in a land where my foremothers cried and died.
Unknown and alone.
Who am I?
I am a black woman.
I am a woman.
Yes, I am oppressed and depressed but, my mind has repossed my throne.
I am not unknown or alone.
I am a queen.
Rising to be seen.
Shouting, as I sing.
Where is my black king.
