99 Words Weekly Challenge Entry - "The Orient"
Everything was perfect. Her feet wriggled on the lush, intricate rug as she immersed herself in the environment, bathing in the warm glow of the paper lanterns. The bamboo screens provided natural, simple privacy and she traced her fingers over the ornately carved trunk at the foot of the bed.

Her ears detected the gentle sound of trickling water coming from a fountain on the nightstand, and the scent of cherry blossoms hung in the air. She sighed contentedly.

Others called her little studio apartment a closet... even a hovel. But to her, it is a perfect Oriental retreat.
