I wrote this song as a protest against the unjust Iraq war.
Forty Years (Song)

It was forty years ago today,
the "Fab Four" began to play,
Byrds were flying "Eight Miles High",
and Jimi wanted to "Kiss the Sky".

It's forty years now today,
everything remains the same,
Politicians hide themselves away,
While unknown soldiers are buried in unknown graves,
high upon the desert plain.

And it all remains the same,
And it all remains the same,
And it all remains the same,
washing hands never remove the stain,
washing hands never remove the pain.

It was forty years yesterday,
that soldiers cried on bended knees,
"Oh Lord, why have you forsaken me!",
and it's forty years ago today,
that generals with their wargames play,
plastic soldiers on the blood soaked plain.

Violence and terror reign in His holy name,
everyone plays the game,
if your not we,
They say you deserve the blame,
We think we were chosen by He,
to torch the wicked with the sacred flame.
Every religion is the same.

And it all remains the same,
And it all remains the same,
And it all remains the same,
washing hands never remove the stain,
washing hands never remove the pain.
