Poem on the pain of heart ache

I lie awake hours on end
My heart writhing in pain.
Anguish streaming down my face
As quietly I sob your name.

Our song playing, on repeat
As I cuddle with my despair.
My body racked with aches unseen
Tortured by arms no longer there.

My mind veiled in confusion
Thoughts struggling to become clear.
Suffering, bearing down on me
Every moment you're not near.

Unbearable fear coursing through my veins
Wanting only to let you go.
Wishing only for the happiness
Of the "us" I use to know.
