Friendships lost hurt as much as love lost.
If a thorne'd rose I hand to thee,
The barbs thereon weren't meant to be,
The blush of the petals were my intent,
Not the blood that you have spent.

A tainted word I never spoke,
But with your words, my heart you broke,
Your happiness was my only desire,
But now you claim me a heartless liar.

Now my soul is heavy with grief,
Is yours now filled with deep relief,
That I have been so openly scorned,
And my heart has been so deeply thorned?

A wish to you I would still make,
That your life is full and love not fake,
Let angels guide you from above,
And may God grant you an eternal love.
