A poem depicting love and friendship from a unqiue angle.
Flying on broken wings.
Fallen so far from grace.
Alone, lost and afraid.
Tears of sorrow fall down her face.

Darkness is all around her.
She stumbles and falls to her knees.
Hands raised in supplication.
Praying for some reprieve.

The heavens seem made of granite
No answer is heard to her prayer
Seems God has forgotten his angel
Since she fell into evils’ lair.

Hopelessly she travels on
Struggling thru the inky night
Suddenly she hears music
And sees a ray of light.

Walking into the clearing
Astounded to behold
Another fallen angel
Singing in the cold.

This angel stops his singing
And takes her by the hand
She looks into his eyes
And knows he understands.

Their voices blend together
With the music of broken hearts
And on they fly together
Never to be apart.

Her prayer – it had been answered
Though not the way she thought
But another fallen angel
Across her path God brought.

Seems we all are fallen angels
Struggling here below
Praying for some help
As along life’s path we go.

So when you feel alone
And you think God doesn’t care
Remember, friends are fallen angels
Sent in answer to your prayer.
