A concise commentary on the ways of men in youth and old age compared. Inspired.
Impossible species we all,
and largely in credit to them;
although true she were first to fall,
there is always blame to the men.

First we examine the young adult,
and, naturally, faults are plenteous.
Yet the case may also be well wrought
for innate presence of the deinteous.

He is lively and willing to chance
all that which he simply does not see
as worth more than his risks can finance;
still, there is some work of Grace in he.

Of such a seasoned and humbled one,
the elderly true, sharp and refined:
when, at last, his character like the sun,
the world weighs heavy upon his mind.

Joy and love may very well prevail
if he has kept them near thus far.
If not, last of his strength may fail,
for all else be rendered bizarre.
