A dreary day in life
My Inner Light...

I call the God and Goddess!
To listen to my plea.
My inner light is fading
That's deep inside of me.
My friends think I'm happy
But deep inside I'm not.
My stomach filled with butterflies
And tied up in a knot.
The headaches now are pounding
The screaming that it takes.
My smiles and laughter don't ring true
Each and every one are fakes.
But why should I be sad
I'm living life so great.
I never want for nothing
My body knows no hate.
I don't know how I make it
With each day passing slow.
Each task is now a challenge
Deep down inside I know.
And there are unknown reasons
Placed upon me every day.
Lessons I must truly learn
And why I feel this way.
I believe my God and Goddess
Has set my path for me.
And this I truly understand
This path was meant to be.
So, let my light burn brighter
Fill me deep inside tonight.
For I know that they are with me
The light within shines bright!
