mother love daughter family
I watch Mom...
As she savors hours for her slumber,
With her dreamy vibrancy I wonder,
"Could this piece of universe lying beneath this bed covers
Be an angel in disguise dressed as a mother?"

I watch her...
As she starts her day with morning rituals,
Coated in scent so sweet and sensual.
As she paints those colors to her lovely face,
It makes me stop and wonder,
"How could this woman in blinding glimmer
Hide yesteryears' sorrows behind her glamor?"

I watch Mom...
As she starts working on plans and figures,
With her uncanny talent to handle business.
Her guts and good tongue
That brought her out of the shadow,
Tells a woman of fiber, so bold a fighter.

I watch her...
As she builds friendship with dear ones
Whom she laughs with when bad times hover,
Whom she helps to solve life's li'l twists,
Whom she pulls out from tricky spots.
(Of course the beauty of friendship there is,
Her friends would do the same what she did for them!)

I watch Mom...
As she reaches out to the needy
With a heart delicately molded for helping thee.
As she diffuses an air of selflessness
It makes me stop and wonder,
¨How lucky are those who meet Mom!
For her heart doesn't ask for anything
When all she does is 'give'
Even though there ain't anything to receive.¨

I watch Mom...
When twilight comes; the Old Sun bade,
As she retreats to our humble abode.
Still with full spirit yet sometimes worn & weary
That's what life gives her after a day-long journey.

Sad times could be that part of the day
When we would welcome her with sibling squabbles ,
With mood swings and bedroom shambles,
All I could say, Mom so deeply I'm Sorry!

(private)...

As the night blankets the world, still, I watch mom...
As she starts to savor hours for her slumber
With her dreamy vibrancy I wonder...
