just a random phrase running through my head upon waking this morning.
"Nothing can take forever quite like being a dopeman."

This thought was in my mind upon waking this morning. I really don't know what it means but it seems to me that it's saying that hiding takes more energy on your part than actually stepping forward and taking responsibility for the consequences. Sneaking around corners and dodging bullets takes more time and energy than taking a single beating and going on your way. You may dodge one bullet one moment but they double over time slowly growing not only in number but in size until all that's left of you is a tiny speck that in near impossible to miss. Soon there are far too many bullets and nowhere for you to go, what do you do then? Do you fight to the end and self destruct needlessly or do you hang on and meet those bullets head on?

To meet those bullets means to bleed. It means to let all secrets flow forth from gaping wounds, it means to bear forth all that you mean to hide for all who gather to see. Blood means life, death, health and destruction, to bleed; as to reveal yourself; is a painful double edged sword. There are times to purge yourself from putrid rotten decaying blood in order to allow fresh new healthy blood to do it work, just as there are times to reveal those secrets that destroy your life. Adversly there are time when purging yourself of blood leads to illnessand maybe even to death while the untimely uncovering of an unpleasant secret can lead to disasterous results. Destruction can be healing, it can allow new things to grow while killing what is diseased. It can be a terrifying experience causing one to lose family, friends, pocessions, all that one holds dear but in the end one is cleansed, one is purged of what you have been holding back and have finally allowed to come forth despite all fears.

So I guess, "Nothing can take forever quite like being a dopeman." means just that. Do what you feel is necessary at the time but do not back down when the consequences for those actions come to the fore.
