Whiteness, The Sea

The ship rocked so badly
That we all stayed in our bunks
And were seasick for the entire journey.
I said it would have been better outside in the fresh air,
And I remember swaying on the deck;
A view of the city we left from the boat;.
Two people along the railing.
Then the cabin again and seasickness.
After a few days;
Whiteness.  The sea.
Before we left port,
I walked along the deck of the ship and
Looked at the horn; waited for it to sound;
Walked around and looked at the ship.
The deck.
