It's not good to run away from your problems, they could grow
Speck in the eye of blue
Waves scratch to no avail
You've become so bothersome
That you think yourself unseen
But the anguish ripples out
Trouble multiplies in size
Not even the tiny escape its open eyes

So the ocean opened
The angry ocean opened

The ship heard its name roared in vain
Fear became their captain
The whitewashed faces turned sail and ran
From what was once shallow
Now a deep, ominous swallow
As the maelstrom widens
More sea is lost

Winds will slow
Muscles will tire
Vessels break
Lives expire
But fate will not rest

Chasing the horizon
But the eye still dilates
Enter the darkened iris
Don't blink, don't hesitate
Destination meet Atlantis
For the land is only a wishful mirage
An imaginary retreat
Fugitives of the whirlpool
In the end will meet the deep

Blessed sails took them far
But could not escape
The pull of persistance
Denial washed away
"Turn this ship around!
We can run no longer
For to this storm are we bound
Sea have mercy on our lost souls!"

A collective plea for grace
Collective breath be held
