A poem angry with a friend for running away.
You talked me into staying, I thought that you would too.

But then I got that phone call, and knew what I had to do.

I searched for many hours, cold and full of fear.

With every step I took, then fell another tear.

Quickly I prayed to my Father up above,

That he would fill your heart with a great amount of love.

As the night grew darker, my hopes began to drop.

As the night grew colder, we had no choice but to stop.

I quickly filled with anger when I found out where you'd gone.

"I just went for a walk", you said, but that walk was pretty long.

You brushed it off, as if you didn't care.

It made me stop and wonder, why the hell was I there?

I've tried so hard to be a good friend.

But what's the point, if you care not in the end?

Just then I realized I didn't do it just for you.

I did for me, yet all this stands true.

Your place in my heart will always be there.

And in that place, I always will care.
