Inner feelings at that special time.
I could hear her screaming,
Feel her trying to pull away.
She was pushing me into my seat.
Her rear slipping, trying to sway,
Her voice drove all sound from my ears.

It ended so quickly,
Only seconds since begun
A light flashed in front of me;
A quarter mile run and won.
The only sound now the crowd’s cheers.
