An Art Ripped into Pieces

God made the skies above
Emblazoned it with stars
Created the lands and seas
That’s rich with plants and trees.

Creatures gave life to His art
But it’s not yet His finishing touch.
God made man to walk on earth
To care for this wondrous world

But see what man has done
The follies made by everyone
See man’s carelessness and greed
Nature became their provider of need.

Creation becomes destruction
Now, what about the next generation
Will they ever see God’s masterpiece
Or dream of a world that ceased to exist

Can’t man see the earth is dying
That when it strikes, he can’t do anything
Does man know this truth
That when it dies, he’s gone for good
