this is a short poem concerning a mother;s love for her son.
TRAPPED

First my man and then my son long halls thick walls inside or out they scream and shout,
TRAPPED!
He yearns to learn.
A way to fight in the dark of night.
TRAPPED!
Don't call him boy, he's not your toy.
He wants to be a man in a world that won't even let him stand.
TRAPPED!
inside or out no where to go things seem so slow.
TRAPPED!
I sing a lallaby while my son cry.
First my man then my son trapped behind long halls thick walls.

It makes me sad that he looks so much like his dad.
I pray everyday that his steps he won't follow it makes my heart feel so hollow. Am I to blame for my son's shame.
His dad is gone, but my son can;t go on living the same way.
I don't know what to say to help him find another way to sway.
One thing that I know and that is that I love him so.
TRAPPED!
