a look upon the dusty road
to hope to will to feel despair
the silver screen with us does share.

A certain innocence was lost
a knowledge gained but at what cost?
we drink the vintage of that past
made from bitter Grapes of Wrath.

Better was that wine made then,
crafted by less docile men?
we'll never really know from here
the secret's locked away in fear.
