A bond broken, a heart hurt, a grievance sustained; a memory forgotten, a new hope nursed.
BROKEN BOND

We had a bond of love and
With kisses it was sealed.
It was known only to us,
To others not revealed.

Our bond was tender and firm,
Though fragile, it was strong.
I thought it had strength of steel;
I knew I was not wrong.

My belief was unfounded.
To you, it was quite fair
To leave me for another,
Plunge me into despair.

Bond broken, a broken heart,
A hope broken and gone;
Life came to a standstill and
Was in depression thrown.

But His grace did bring me out
And I saw there was light.
What was broken was mended.
Life once again is bright.
