remembering looking for 4 leaf clovers
Friday, April 27th.
It is a beautiful 80 degree day.
Red nose and cold hands are far away.
Searching for a four leaf clover
To send you in a card.

Day after day I miss you,
Awaiting the day you can search with me.
You and I crawling, cuddling on the grass.

On our knees we look for the elusive symbol.
Four leaf clovers speak of eternal luck.

Searching for a four leaf clover,
Perhaps I can find one for each of us.
Rays of spring sun make me sweat as I search.
I spy one between the dumpster and a phone pole.
Now I see another right next to it.
Green-kneed and happy, I thank God for these gifts.
