: I think what I learned is to presevere even when I felt like giving up! So many gave me the encouragement I needed and for awhile I despaired of ever finishing. Then all of a sudden I decided one way or another I would reach my goal!

: You will hit a wall, decide to quit, think what you've written is crap; then decide it's brilliant. I learned to quit reading and keep writing and to turn off my inner editor and just let it flow.

: I learned I don't need to stop after each paragraph and edit. It opened my mind and the words streamed out. It surprised me how things came together; things I had no idea how they would be worked out. What a great experience for me.

: Sara - will be back soon

: Before NaNo, I edited everything I wrote, directly after I wrote it. Now I know that I can write for hours. My inner editor doesn't always have to be on and nobody has to read it if I don't want them to. It's all fun.

: NaNoWriMo taught me that I am a writer, and to never give up.  Sure there will be good and bad days;and hills and mountians to climb.  But once you work through them the end results are victory....and a pretty good start to your novel.

: My goal was to write evenly each day; my results looked more like the stock market with a clutch performance of almost 20K words in the last 5 days. I made it despite my inner editor too. And I like what I wrote!

: It taught me that I need to trust in myself and to not overthink everything I'm writing, that sometimes if I let myself go, I might just surprise myself (and often in a pleasant way).

: I learnt that persistence and creating goals (and keeping to them) can help to overcome any wall that might appear.

: I had a few scenes and some characters - that's it. I learned I could sit down every day, without a plan, and make things connect. It might be crap - but I did it!
