A short, sweet, slashy story about raindrops and cuddling.
Nick lay curled on the reclining lawn chair, listening to the rain, protected from it by the roof that sheltered the cabin's porch. He felt peaceful; the air was warm, the world smelled fresh from the rain, and there was no sound except the rain falling softly on the world around him. Nick breathed out a sigh of happiness.

"Nicky," A voice said from the doorway. Nick smiled at the greeting and looked up to see his boyfriend, Tyson, standing in the doorway of the cabin.

"What are you doing out here?" Tyson asked. Nick shrugged.

"Just listening to the rain... thinking."

"About me?"

"Always about you, Ty."

Tyson smiled and sat beside Nick. "You look so happy," he murmured, ruffling Nick's hair affectionately. Nick smiled too. "I am happy. I love it here. It's just you and me, not worrying about where we have to be or what we have to do or who's watching us or..." he let the sentence trail off and kissed Tyson's hand. Tyson slipped off his sneakers and lay down beside Nick, who snuggled up to him happily.

"I love being here too," Tyson said. A soft smile was on his face, in the place of his usual crooked grin. Nick closed his eyes and breathed in the scent of the rain and the trees and Tyson, and sighed, "I love you."

"I love you too," Tyson whispered. They kissed; a soft kiss, just lips pressing together for a second or two before pulling away and nuzzling their noses together. Nick opened his mouth to say something, but closed it again when he realized there was nothing he needed to say. He just let out another happy sigh and laid his head on Tyson's chest. Tyson kissed the top of Nick's head.

"I love you, Nicky," Tyson whispered into his hair. A smile crossed Nick's face as Tyson's long arms wrapped around his body and held him close.

As they fell asleep in each other's arms, the rain stopped falling. They were both fast asleep when a rainbow appeared in the sky above them.

Nick shifted closer to Tyson, and both boys slept on.
